While caring for a loved one can be very rewarding, it also involves many stressors. And since caregiving is often a long-term challenge, the emotional impact can snowball over time. You may face years or even decades of caregiving responsibilities. It can be particularly disheartening if you feel that you’re in over your head or there’s no hope that your family member will get better or, despite your best efforts, their condition continues to decline. If the stress of caregiving is left unchecked, it can take a toll on your health, relationships, and state of mind—eventually leading to burnout, a state of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion. When you get to that point, both you and the person you’re caring for suffer. Kelli Care can help ease the burden.
When your spouse dies, your world changes. You may feel numb, shocked, anxious and fearful. Some widowed people lose interest in cooking and eating and are not used to eating alone. Kelli Care services can help you through the grieving process providing you the social and emotional support needed to get through the day while keeping you engaged in the community.
It’s not enough to just be alive. Good quality of life is especially important for older adults who are dealing with chronic health conditions and major life changes.
Feeling satisfied and fulfilled is just as important for overall well-being as getting regular check-ups from the doctor. In fact, having a positive view of life can help seniors have more energy, less stress, better appetite, and prevent cognitive decline. Kelli Care provides Companion Care to keep your loved one engaged in life.
Caring for a senior family member can be difficult. Do you have concerns with leaving Mom or Dad home alone for hours while you are at work? Are you concerned they may be lonely or unsafe? Let us help.
At Kelli Care Philadelphia, we are guided by a set of core values that include compassion, respect, integrity, and excellence. We believe that these values are essential to providing the best possible care to our clients, and we strive to uphold them in everything we do.
Our vision is to become the preferred home care provider in each community we serve. We commit to improving the lives of all those we serve through our clinical excellence and extraordinary service offered in an environment of compassion, respect, and dignity.
Kelli Care Philadelphia is 100% owned and operated by Registered Nurses, Andrea Myers and Kelli Miller. They started with a vision to provide reliable, compassionate, high quality home care services to those in need. At Kelli Care Philadelphia, we practice the philosophy of patient-centered care delivered with love and compassion.
Our Seniors are losing the option of staying independent in their homes or staying home safely, if they can't access in-home support services. There are ripple effects where senior injuries will increase and they will require hospital stays and some may be forced into nursing homes or assisted living earlier than necessary. Caregivers are the cornerstone that keep people in their homes which allows them to age in place.
What aging with dignity means to us...
Living life to the fullest regardless of age, disability, or illness. It's important for an older adult's self-esteem and well being, and can come from having a sense of purpose and meaning in life.
